Tournaments & Clubs Owned by Golf Malaysia Magazine

TOURNAMENTS
Golf Malaysia tournaments are well known! Each year, Golf Malaysia magazine sponsors and organises exclusive Championships, namely:

1. Golf Malaysia ‘Champion of Champions’ Championship
  • Golf Malaysia ‘Champion of Champions’ Championship (established in 1986) is a regional event open to all Golf Club Champions throughout Malaysia.
  • This prestigious annual event gathers the crème de la crème of club champions to compete for the supreme title: ‘Champion of Champions’.

2. Golf Malaysia ‘Ace of Aces’ Championship
  • Golf Malaysia ‘Ace of Aces’ Championship (established in 1989) is organised exclusively for Golf Malaysia Hole-in-One Club golfers. An average of one hundred golfers scored a hole-in-one per month and register with the club.
  • Annually, this special two-zone event receives an overwhelming participation response.

3. Golf Malaysia Eagles Championship
  • Eagle achievers registered with the Golf Malaysia Eagles Club get to participate in this event.

4. Golf Malaysia Irons Challenge
  • The first edition of the Golf Malaysia Irons Challenge took place in 2001. Golf Malaysia magazine created a new challenge for amateur golfers throughout Malaysia in the form of the Golf Malaysia Irons Challenge. Unlike any golf championship ever played in this region, it had golfers using only their irons to skilfully negotiate ten of the most beautiful golf courses in the country.
  • In recognition of its uniqueness, on 7 August 2002, the Golf Malaysia Irons Challenge was inducted into the Malaysia Book of Records under the category of ‘First All Irons Golf Challenge’. Since then, the event is organised on a yearly basis.
