Tournaments & Clubs Owned by Golf Malaysia Magazine

Golf Malaysia tournaments are well known! Each year, Golf Malaysia magazine sponsors and organises exclusive Championships, namely:

1. Golf Malaysia ‘Champion of Champions’ Championship
  • Golf Malaysia ‘Champion of Champions’ Championship (established in 1986) is a regional event open to all Golf Club Champions throughout Malaysia.
  • This prestigious annual event gathers the crème de la crème of club champions to compete for the supreme title: ‘Champion of Champions’.

2. Golf Malaysia ‘Ace of Aces’ Championship
  • Golf Malaysia ‘Ace of Aces’ Championship (established in 1989) is organised exclusively for Golf Malaysia Hole-in-One Club golfers. An average of one hundred golfers scored a hole-in-one per month and register with the club.
  • Annually, this special two-zone event receives an overwhelming participation response.

3. Golf Malaysia Eagles Championship
  • Eagle achievers registered with the Golf Malaysia Eagles Club get to participate in this event.

4. Golf Malaysia Irons Challenge
  • The first edition of the Golf Malaysia Irons Challenge took place in 2001. Golf Malaysia magazine created a new challenge for amateur golfers throughout Malaysia in the form of the Golf Malaysia Irons Challenge. Unlike any golf championship ever played in this region, it had golfers using only their irons to skilfully negotiate ten of the most beautiful golf courses in the country.
  • In recognition of its uniqueness, on 7 August 2002, the Golf Malaysia Irons Challenge was inducted into the Malaysia Book of Records under the category of ‘First All Irons Golf Challenge’. Since then, the event is organised on a yearly basis.

Golf Malaysia Hole-in-One Club
  • Over 15,000 members as of 1 May 2009
  • Golf Malaysia magazine owns the Golf Malaysia Hole-in-One Club, which is the only available archive in the country that keeps a “Roll of Honour” of registered golfers throughout the country who have achieved their elusive dream...an ACE on a golf course in Malaysia and Brunei.
  • Golfers who scored a hole-in-one must register with the Golf Malaysia Hole-in-One Club to enjoy extensive benefits, which include:
  1. Being awarded a selection of sponsored gifts
  2. Golf Malaysia Hole-in-One Club Certificate
  3. A Golf Malaysia Hole-in-One Club Discount Card that entitles them to FREE rounds of golf and special discounts/privileges at various golf courses and establishments
  4. Qualified to play in the annual Golf Malaysia ‘Ace of Aces’ Championship (a gathering of all the hole-in-one makers in the country on 1 and 11 November annually)

Golf Malaysia Eagles Club
  • More than 4,800 members as of 1 May 2009
  • The Eagles Club was set up in the second half of 1998 and offers eagle scorers on Malaysian golf courses the recognition they deserve.
  • Apart from the prestige, Eagle achievers are awarded a certificate, sponsored gifts and a golfing voucher plus an opportunity to play in the annual Golf Malaysia Eagles Championship.
